Dublin, is located on the east coast of the island, in the center of County Dublin, it is the largest city in Ireland in area and population since the early Middle Ages. Dublin is the artistic, political, historical, cultural, economic and industrial center of Ireland.

The city is home to a number of gay bars, clubs and restaurants that are scattered throughout the city, many of which are located in the iconic Temple Bar, as well as on Georges and Capel streets in the city center.
